Kicking Hearts

I had my first prehab physical therapy today. My therapist, AGB, concentrated on building muscle strength in my thigh and improving my range of motion. The idea is to get my leg stronger, so the residual muscle atrophy after my surgery is less, and to get me used to the exercises that I’ll have to do post-surgery. I’m interested in not just recovering my current strength but being stronger than I am now too. I’d like to be able to sidekick someone in martial arts so hard that they comically fly off their feet and backwards in a “U” shape.

Yesterday, our neighbor caught us outside to tell us that she’ll have to cut the tree down in her yard that’s near our fence. Apparently, it attracts mice and rats that like to eat the berries. I told my spousal unit that our neighbor won’t need to cut it down, because I’ll have legs so strong that I’ll be able to just kick it down for her! It’ll be like Jean Claude Van Damme in the movie Kickboxer, when he kicked down a bamboo tree.
